The word is out. A non-profit Corporation, Onima Institute for Tradition and Development USA, Inc has been nominated for an award, "Ambassador for Peace Award." The Award will be given at the Peace summit on Sunday, November 18, 2007 by the Universal Peace Federation. The Peace Summit will take place at the Renaissance Concourse Hotel, 1 Hatsfield Centre Parkway, Atlanta, Georgia 30354.
The Executive Director of the Onima Institute for Tradition and Development USA, Inc., Omoh Tsatsaku Ojior, Ph.D. will be among other awardees which will include the Mayor of Atlanta, Shirley Franklyn, to receive the Award. This Award to be presented to Dr. Ojior is in recognition of Onima Instituter's service to the Community. The Universal Peace Federation letter states, "We would like to honor your service for the community showing the example of living for the sake of other sand promoting a peaceful society and world."
The mission of Ambassador for Peace is to assist the work for world peace by:
1. Practicing the moral principle of "living for the sake of others,"
2. Seeking to establish a family of true love and fidelity that is a model for others,
3. Overcoming barriers of race, religion, culture, and nationality that divide people,
4. Promoting inter religious respect, harmony, and cooperation,
5. Encouraging greater harmony, goodwill, and cooperation among nations, and supporting the founding vision of the United Nations.
Many Nigerians are proud of this award, and all with families and friends are cordially invited to this Peace Summit to witness the presentation.
